There is a need for septic systems manufacturers to keep manufacturing costs down. This encourages the drive towards low-cost and low-quality plants, which is, unfortunately, damaging to the sewage treatment industry. Costs need to be limited as for any other industry, but they should not be cut to compromise quality. Unfortunately, some manufacturers are bringing the sector into disrepute by persisting in selling below-quality plants, without any commitment to after-sales service.
