Renovation of Creole huts: Installation of an ECOROCK-2000 system on the island of Saint Martin

The structure and the environmental context:

Our partner EXOWATER has once again set up a BIOROCK installation on the island of Saint Martin. BIOROCK solutions are particularly well adapted to the needs of islanders, due to their ease of installation and their operation without electricity.

The challenge:

The client is a developer undertaking to renovate Creole huts in order to transform them into social housing. Being on the French side of the island, it was necessary to be able to meet very strict communal standards: i.e. a recovery tank representing 24 hours of hydraulic load, an audible alarm, and a drip irrigation system.

The wastewater treatment system includes a primary tank, followed by a treatment unit ECOROCK-2000 with a lifting system for irrigation and a filtration 5 micron, and finally with an audible alarm in case of overflow.

The solution:

The client chose a BIOROCK system because it is simple to operate and low maintenance and the wastewater can be reused for irrigation of green areas. The client's choice also came from the fact that EXOWATER has a dedicated maintenance team.

The results:

The installation was quick, the system received the certificate of conformity from the SPANC. The maintenance technicians and users did not notice any operating errors.
